Students in the DHS Concert Choir and Tudor Singers joined the Late Show’s Gospel Choir in concert on February 2.
The Late Show’s Gospel Choir visited Darien High School on February 2 and performed for the entire student body and faculty in two assembly programs. The DHS Community Council sponsored a luncheon for our guests and then the Gospel Choir, lead by Grammy nominated songwriter and gospel singer Lady Peachena, conducted a master class with the students in DHS Concert Choir and Tudor Singers. The day was capped off by a free evening concert open to the public sponsored by the Darien Music for Youth organization. The Gospel Choir was brought to Darien in support of the Music Department’s Curricular Focus Theme on Spirituals and the celebration of Black History month.
