The 2017 Elementary Honors Orchestra
On Saturday, June 3, 160 music students from Middlesex Middle School and over 200 elementary music students travelled to Bristol Eastern High School and Lake Compounce for the Music in the Parks performance and adjudication.
The Elementary Honors Chorus, conducted by Rebecca Brendli and Kathleen Theisen and the Elementary Honors Band conducted by Krista DiPietro and Colin Walters both received Excellent ratings and the Elementary Honors Orchestra directed by Dawn Hanley and Jane Minnis received a Superior rating from the adjudicators.

At Middlesex Middle School, the Camerata Singers under the direction of Kimberly Sadler received Excellent rating, 2nd place in their division, the 7th & 8th Grade Orchestra under the direction of Malcolm Karlan received and Excellent rating, 1st place in their division and the MMS Honors Band under the direction of James Carter and Gretchen Perrett received a Superior rating, 1st place in their division and Best Overall Middle School Band.
